We’re deeply honored to be recognized as Merritt Community Capital’s very first C2C Partner of the Year! In the ceremony held earlier this month, Sochiata Vutthy, COO for CHW, accepted the award on CHW's behalf. CHW team members Alexis Johnson, Jazmin Vasquez, and Noemi Ramirez, all beneficiaries of Merritt's Commitment to California (C2C) initiative, joined Sochiata for the event.
This recognition underscores a shared vision between our two organizations: to encourage bright young people to consider a career in affordable housing, changing the lives of families and whole communities for generations to come. Through Merritt’s C2C initiative, we’ve seen the power of mission-driven capital and career development firsthand—from supporting the California Coalition for Rural Housing's Internship Program and Emerging Leader Fellowship to providing scholarships to help students find their calling in affordable housing and so much more.
CHW is proud to stand alongside Merritt in this work. And we’re especially proud to help young professionals discover their calling in affordable housing — because when we invest in people, we invest in lasting change. It's one more way that We Build Futures.
