Ways To Help

Located just northeast of San Francisco, Concord is considered to be the largest city in Contra Costa County, California. For a fun fact, Todos Santos Plaza, which serves as the focal point of downtown Concord, is known for its farmers market, summer concerts, and numerous restaurants. Concord is truly a place that you can enjoy when it comes to outdoor recreations, history, and amazing food.

Housing Needs in Concord

There is no doubt that affordable housing plays a critical role in ensuring that individuals, children, seniors, and families can have a roof over their heads and provide numerous opportunities to forge a stronger future. Housing is more than just a building. It is a necessity for everyone as it serves as a shelter. In addition, it protects and nurtures. Overall, it improves the quality of life. However, as the years go by, many are facing a housing crisis as rent prices and home prices are becoming less and less affordable. As a matter of fact, research shows that people spend about 30% or more of their income on housing alone, making it hard to afford other things as well. Indeed, pricing is rising faster than income and more and more are just becoming cost-burdened by housing. Just like other cities, Concord is also experiencing a housing crisis. Concord residents are facing an increasing rate of scarce housing, income gap, poor living conditions, and unjust convictions which are ultimately affecting the low income sector.
