Awards

CHW Real Estate Development has been recognized statewide, nationally and locally for excellence in development. We receive awards not only for the design and physical product, but also for our expertise in engineering complex financing, and for the process of developing “on time and on budget.”  CHW works to create a new standard for what affordable housing can and should look like and still be cost effective, and as such, many of our complexes have won national awards. Our complex, Solara, was recognized on Business Week’s website , and won the prestigious Urban Land Institute Award of Excellence for the Americas and ULI San Diego/Tijuana Smart Growth Award, the Charles L. Edson Tax Credit Excellence Award, and was voted Most Outstanding Project in the Affordable Housing Finance Magazine Reader’s Choice Awards. Our complexes have been recognized in Time, The Washington Post, several design journals, Fannie Mae’s Knowledgeplex; been featured on Urban Land Institute and American Institute of Architects affordable housing guide covers; and received three national American Institute of Architects Awards and two national Fannie Mae Maxwell Awards.
