Homebuyer Classes

This 8-hour, HUD-certified class for first-time homebuyers will qualify you for reduced rates with some lenders, for CHW down payment loans and coaching, and for government low cost down payment loans. In English and Spanish, the class answers common homebuyer questions such as:

  • What price can I afford for my home?
  • How can I qualify for a loan?
  • How do I fix my credit?
  • What exactly is the home-buying process?
  • How do I get the most out of my Real Estate Agent and title and escrow company?
  • How can I get help with downpayment and closing costs?
  • What kind of insurance will I need?
  • What do I need to know about home maintenance?

The classes are held on Saturdays several times a month in both English and Spanish across San Diego County from 9:00am-5:00pm.  A light breakfast and lunch are provided.  Call 619-282-6647 x5465 or click here to register online.  You can also view our calendar for upcoming classes.
