CHW Rental Communities & CHW Real Estate Development

CHW has a successful 30-year history as a developer and owner of affordable rental apartments in urban, suburban and rural communities across San Diego County. Our nationally award-winning developments serve diverse communities, including Carlsbad, City Heights, North Park, San Diego’s Shelltown, Escondido, Fallbrook, Lakeside, Oceanside, Poway, and Vista. We have completed over 1,500 rental and cooperative apartments in 29 rental communities, and have 590 apartments in progress.

CHW Community Programs

CHW designs its developments to be healthy and vibrant communities that improve their neighborhoods. CHW nurtures self-reliance by offering services to residents which include leadership training and schoolwork assistance for young people. Housing and support services provided in a community environment help CHW residents assemble a portfolio of assets – financial resources, educational skills and leadership ability. Along the way, communities are built and lives are changed.

CHW Classes & Coaching, CHW Lending, & CHW Realty

CHW’s wealth building programs provide education about money management and credit through our Financial Fitness class.   Our NeighborWorks HomeOwnership Center® educates hundreds of first-time homebuyers annually, including residents from our complexes as well as anyone who is interested in purchasing their first home.  Our coaching, realty and innovative loan funds have created approximately 100 new homebuyers across the county every year.
